National binding core curriculum for preschool and primary education, integrating digital competence across the curriculum and introducing AI-related learning, including understanding AI and machine learning, critically evaluating AI-generated content and using AI responsibly. Adopted through a ministerial regulation, the curriculum is mandatory and is being implemented progressively from the 2026/2027 school year.
Education trade unions participated in the formal consultation process. Both NSZZ Solidarność and Forum-Oświata submitted critical opinions on the draft regulation, raising concerns about its legal basis, implications for teachers’ professional autonomy and the consultation process.
